Well the big news is that last night I considered my level 5 ticket to be a big distraction to my cash game, and jumped into a level 5 game. I folded my first 65 hands, got caught stealing 6-5 off but sucked out, and held on to tie for first. So I have a level 6 $2100 buyin 6 man SnG ticket. The payout is $12.5K, 1.5K, 1.5K, 1K, 1K, 500. With just over $100 invested so far, anyone place 6th or better is an incredible return on investment. The tourny plays double stacked, that is $3000 in chips starting with 10/20 blinds and 10 minute changes.
I started the day re-reading The Harrington workbook, and as the level 5 games are getting going, I am scouting the games intensely. I have very good notes on 2/3 of the registered players so far. I hope to get this game played before too long, as the waiting is kind of driving me crazy. But I have been patient this long, and can hold out a bit more. Wish me luck.
